It's a boring day
Until we hear sidewalks breaking.
Underwater sonar picks up a pulse
and satellites catch a dorsal fin;
The microphones we have are closing in on the source of the sound.
It's a boring day until we hear sidewalks breaking
No signs of disturbances still - besides the mess we're making
Of this earth; surely you know what we could've unearthed
Maybe somebody somewhere performed an ancient ritual dance
Envoking a being frozen in trance:
"Awake now and surface and see us as ants!"
Maybe an artifact was unearthed, something ancient rebirthed.
Maybe a sacrifice was tricked; maybe his neck was slit.
Maybe gallons of fake blood were poured into some kind of sentient mud awakening whatever slumbers beneath come above.
Maybe this monster movie's about love.
It's a boring day until we hear sidewalks breaking
No signs of disturbances still, besides the mess we're making
Of this earth; surely you know what we could've unearthed.

100 feet tall

One day,
You will see how they felt
When you're 100 feet tall;
Hard to imagine!
They see for thousands of miles
And I hope that
You'll see for thousands of miles - one day.
Throw off the shackles to which you cling
Like proportion and logic don't apply here.
You must expand your horizons infinitely.
And the scientist, with his interdimensional gun,
Thinks he can be the one to save us.
But to save our skins would take more than that...
You've got your interdimensional gun,
But you better interdimensional run.
Yes, you've got your interdimensional gun,
But you better interdimensional run.

Hey up there.
Just so you know,
You're not as small as I think you think you are.
So look out for us little guys.
You're not as scary as you think.
You're just a bit too big for your feet.
Yeah, you've got some problems just like me.
But I feel we'll die if you don't leave.
So can I ask a question:
What do you want?
What do you want?
(Excuse me)
How can you people do this?
To your own earth - you're so clueless.
But you've got no excuses.
I heard a song on the human radio but I can't see how these creatures can be
The same ones who polluted their own home and the creatures who wrote these words:
"Well, I heard there was a secret chord that David played and it pleased the Lord.
But you don't really care for music, do you?
Well it goes like this, the fourth, the fifth,
The minor fall and the major lift, the baffled king composing hallelujah.
Hallelujah, Hallelujah."
I suppose you could say that I'm here because I'm lonely.
I didn't mean to hurt nobody (but here we go...)
I hurt somebody.
I hurt somebody.
I hurt so many people; smashed their buildings.
They're my equals; that's the real thing that I
Never noticed before.

It's a boring day
Until we hear
Sidewalks shaking.
